Lamar Odom's Drug Sabbatical

“Lamar Odom really isn’t smoking crack right?” That was the text from my old roommate Noah that I woke up to the other morning. At the time, I had not heard the full story, but the rumors were out, and at the time I answered, “Yeah, I guess he is.” What’s funny is that I really could not believe it. How could a player of Lamar Odom’s status end up on a three-day coke binge resulting in him being lost for awhile and then a DUI?

The NCAA is letting Eddie Vanderdoes, a five-star defensive lineman freshman, play at UCLA after transferring from Notre Dame in April. Brian Kelly is not pleased. I would not be either, bad precedent. (Chicago Tribune)

NBCSN is adding a couple new shows featuring prominent sports writers. I have no idea if it is going to work because writers are always different with the camera in front of them. Pat Forde is usually a good interview though. (Awful Announcing)

First Taste: Water Sports - Action Bronson

06.36 sheva

Action Bronson is having a pretty good summer. He really seemed to find his groove with his hip-hop music. I always thought Bronson did great work before this three month stretch, but everything he is putting out right now is great.  A lot of it might have to do with Harry Fraud, the producer Bronson has been working with almost exclusively lately. Water Sports brings the noise and it is a nice, relaxing song to start your week. In the coming weeks, big things for Sports News on Tap, new writers, NFL and college football previews and much more. Let's get it.

Charlie.
