It was mentioned yesterday here as a possibility, this afternoon it has been confirmed. FC Barcelona will transfer its Spanish International forward David Villa to Atletico de Madrid. The agreement is for 3 seasons with a salary of 7M€ per year for the striker. The transfer figure is speculated to be around 5-5.5M€ ( 2M€ this season, 2M€ following & 1.5 if Villa goes the third season ) with FC

It seems clearer as the days pass that the future of Spanish International & FC Barcelona forward David Villa is elsewhere next season. The player is not a regular starter with Coach Vilanova & the player wishes to be a more participative asset, if not at Barça, elsewhere.
