European countries support the proposal to move the 2022 World Cup schedule for winter . This attitude conveyed from British FIFA vice- president Jim Boyce , on the sidelines of the meeting of 54 members of UEFA in Dubrovnik , Croatia , on Thursday ( 19 / 09 ) .
"The agreement is a meeting of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar could not be held in the summer , " said Boyce . "Everybody agrees with that view , " he said . Boyce adds that need to be addressed now is whether the World Cup schedule , which is usually held in June and July , should be shifted to January 2022 or November and December 2022 . A substantial number of British football associations had previously rejected the proposal because it would disrupt the schedule shift domestic competition schedule .
