Usain Bolt says only will follow the 200-meter run when deciding to go down in the Commonwealth Games next year. Olympic champion is hoping to get off in Glasgow, Scotland, but will discuss participation with coach Glen Mills. "The game was there in the list of my plans," said Bolt, 27.
"I really want to do it but I never play without the consent of my coaches." He said to go down in the 100m and 200m may be difficult. "But I probably will go down on the 200m because it's my favorite number," he added. The Jamaican has never won the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games. He added, "We'll talk about it, we were not entirely sure whether I would join but we will discuss and decide."
Quit after 2017
Bolt lifted his name after the victory in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He also achieved the same feat at last year's London Olympics. Bolt next target is to win the three numbers in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil, to ensure his legendary status. "It would be amazing achievement for me," said Bolt. "I want my name like the other athletes, (boxer) Mohammed Ali, (sprinter) Michael Johnson (basketball player) Michael Jordan."
"I want to be like them when I resign this so when people talk about sports, I will always be included," he added. Bolt considering to participate in the 2017 world championships in London after the Olympics in Rio. "I want to retreat after Rio, but supporters I say, let's go one more year ... so I'm probably going to add one more year," said Bolt.
