Performance Wayne Rooney is back to its zenith, praised Sir Alex Ferguson, the former boss once the source of news about Rooney's intention to move away from United's Sir Alex last season before retiring. Ferguson was reported to be full of criticism of Rooney last season and subsequently leaked to the media in May that the striker wants to leave Old Trafford to further increase Rooney's determination to move.
In the United themselves, the role of Sir Alex is not a coach anymore though still regarded as one of the determinants of the decision because of its historical position.
